Sarah Macomber will send a confirmation email to each recitalist and their applied professor.Students will schedule their recital via phone or email with Sarah Macomber during their assigned appointment time to schedule their recital.Appointments will be assigned based on the randomized order within each catergory.Recital lottery entries will be split into D.M.A., M.M., and Senior recitals and randomized.Student Recital Requests must be approved by their applied faculty (this step is done by Sarah Macomber).All DMA, MM, or Senior students signing up to give a degree recital in the Forbes Recital Hall or in Anthony-Seeger Auditorium must enter the Recital Lottery.Below are the steps for the scheduling process: Please see the Forbes Recital Packet-DMA, Forbes Recital Packet-Sr/MM, or Anthony-Seeger Recital Packet according to the location of your recital.Īll on-campus recitals are scheduled through Sarah Macomber, the School of Music Operations Coordinator. **Full solo recitals (Senior Full, M.M., and D.M.A.) may include a 10-minute intermission if desired.Įach on-campus location has it's own required paperwork & deadline. *Shared half recitals cannot include an intermission. Times will vary based on availability.ĭegree Recitals must adhere to the lengths determined by the JMU School of Music: Recitals in Anthony-Seeger are usually scheduled on Fridays at 8:00pm, or Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm, 4:00pm, or 7:00pm. *Not every Friday/Saturday is available.* M.M., Senior Full, and Senior Half Recitals are scheduled on available Fridays at 5:00pm and 7:00pm, or Saturdays at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm. Recitals are scheduled on available Sundays at 1:00pm, 4:00pm, and 7:00pm.
